If you throw a little Zep and a little Rush in a stew pot; mix in some Adele and the Stones and turn up the heat you get High Street. The power blues-rock quintet is based on Chicago’s north shore and formed in an attic rehearsal space in the fall of 2007. Launching as a cover band playing parties and charity events, this hard working young group introduced the world to their original sound with the release of their first EP “Out of the Attic” in spring 2011. Fully recorded on analog tape, they explored a range of different influences and delivered a raw powerful punch reminding us that rock is alive and well. Their highly anticipated follow up EP “Nocturnal” is set for release in the spring 2012 and have several gigs lined up in the Spring and Summer.

For High Street, the sky is the limit
High Street isn’t just another garage band.

But before that happens, the band of Kurt and Erik Findling, Jenny Thompson, Billy Hennessy and Emre Erel will be able to again test out their music on the Winnetka community [...]

MUSKEGON — Summer Celebration officials reported that 13,000 people attended last night’s show with heavy-metal bands Cinderella and Jackyl. That’s the largest number so far for this year’s event.
Muskegon band Two Heded Chan opened for Jackyl.
Were those 13,000 people heavy-metal fans? Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, they got to enjoy a beautiful July night on the shores of Muskegon Lake, live music by national and not-so-national bands, and seeing people they don’t often get to see.
“It was fun!” said [...]
